Portable Folding Table
Alright, I am showing my age here, because when I think of a portable folding table, I think back to the ubiquitous TV tables that my mother first used to feed my Dad and I the first TV dinners that came out in the 50s. I mean were we really a "far out" family! Today the TV table that I remember as a kid is now considered kitch or "retro" and definitely does not garner the appellation of "far out!"
In the present day, a TV portable folding table is probably completely constructed of plastic, and wipes clean with a damp cloth that will absolutely not cause rust as the "old TV dinner tables" did. But, too today's portable folding table is not just used to eat upon, they are perfect for doing all manner of crafting, and usually has adjustable legs so that people can see that it will fit their own style easily.
Many of them come with the ultra light steel legs that makes the entire table easily carried by a handy built in handle. Often these feature a fiberboard top that can then be simply wiped clean after use. Some of the more expensive brands have a molded plastic top made of high impact polyethylene for durability.
Using a portable folding table has been made very easy with new designs that make them easier to handle as well as lighter. For instance they are used for banquets, restaurants, game rooms, conference rooms, businesses, kitchens, and dining rooms. In the 1950s we also had a portable folding table for such uses however the mechanism was extremely difficult to handle, and unfortunately some people lost fingers to an inadequate design. This is not longer so, thankfully!
We now have a portable folding table that is used by those massage therapists that give personal massages. There is even a face cut out for ease in lying on one's stomach during the massage. These tables have been made totally secure and can hold up to 350 pounds and the table itself is very lightweight. Some tables that weigh in a little more are even completely padded for the patient's total comfort.
As incredible as it seems the use of a portable folding table has even gone to a portable folding wood and aluminum picnic table. It seats four adults quite comfortably, and only weighs 20 pounds. Pre-game cookouts and infield use at auto races are perfect for this portable folding table!
There is a portable folding table that folds by rolling it up and then one is able to it into a small rucksack for camping purposes. Some travel tables even come with telescoping legs so that if there is uneven terrain to contend with it's easy to make one or two legs shorter than the others!
Various designs and inventions have enabled us to have many different kinds of portable folding tables. However, the ultimate in a portable folding table is a fully portable folding ping-pong table. Whose serve is it anyway?
